Sunday in Pristina has started the National Youth Camp U-15. Present are 60 children, of them boys and girls born in 2002 and younger.

The camp is organized by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo (FBK) in support of FIBA ​​and MCYS.

This camp is organized under the New Generation Development project, which is supported by FIBA, led by Turkey's Basketball Federation, while being implemented by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania.

This project is two years old, and started last year, where so far have been organized national camps by the aforementioned federations, then camps in the countries part of the project, visits were made to coaches in Turkey, tours organized in Istanbul, Skopje and Bucharest , While other activities are expected to take place in the coming months.

The National Camp is led by US coach Chris Dial, who is the coordinator of this project nominated by FIBA ​​Europe. Meanwhile, he is assisting 12 local trainers.

It should be noted that from this camp will be the selection of 30 basketball players and 6 coaches who will then travel to Bulgaria's Botevgrad to participate in the International Campaign that is organized in this country from 28 August to 2 September 2017.

The children and trainers are accommodated at Dormitory VII at the Student Center in Prishtina, while exercises are being held at the gym "1 October".

On the first day of the National Camp there was also u.d. BKK Secretary General Elvira Dushku, who together with coordinator Chris Dial made the solemn opening of this camp.

This is best demonstrated by the organization of such camps, involving young boys and girls, who in the future aim to become basketball players and quality players. In fact, such camps also identify talents and that is why we continue to make investments in such events. I wish for these days how much you will stay together, in addition to what you will learn from the coaches and you will associate with one another and create a good atmosphere. "
